Dr. Tallin La Rue joined VCA Northwest Animal Hospital in May of 2020 after graduating from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. La Rue received her undergraduate degree from KSU majoring in wildlife management. From a young age she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She took the scenic view on her journey, spending some time after her bachelors, interning with an engineering company delineating wetlands for them, before returning back to KSU to study veterinary medicine.
Dr. La Rue has broad interests in many fields of medicine, but is extremely passionate about client education, preventative medicine, and pain management. She believes the more you know about your pets and how to treat their medical needs, the longer they can have a good quality of life in their loving home. So if you have any questions for her, don't hesitate to ask!
In her personal life, Dr. La Rue has many hobbies which include painting, reading, and dancing. She likes to take her dog, Appa, on hikes around Colorado Springs, then return home and snuggle up on the couch with her cat, Pooka.
