At VCA Peninsula Animal Hospital, we've helped pets live long, healthy and happy lives for more than 50 years. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.

Nestled between the communities of Point Loma and Ocean Beach, our veterinarians, technicians and other pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards with many of them being Fear Free Certified, which creates a low stress environment for you and your pets. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that our patients receive the best in prevention and healing care.

Our veterinarians, Dr. Hans Ewertz, Dr. Monica Hambalko, Dr. Shara Brookman, and Dr. Austin Eng are knowledgeable and skilled veterinarians who are kind and compassionate individuals. Along with our friendly front office staff and well trained patient care team, we will provide exceptional service to you and your pet.

VCA Peninsula Animal Hospital sits across the street from Stump's Market, two blocks west of Point Loma High School and right next to the Point Loma Branch Library on Voltaire St. We are a friendly, comfortable, medically advanced veterinary hospital with caring and skilled veterinarians and staff to provide well pet and sick pet services for puppies and kittens, adult dogs and cats and senior pets as well. Our services include physical exams, vaccines, spay, neuter and pet dental care, surgeries, digital x-ray and laboratory testing.

Lionbridge provides over-the-phone and video interpretation services for non-English-speaking and American Sign Language (ASL) clients. In real time, veterinary providers can enlist an expert Lionbridge interpreter to facilitate a clear exchange of information between themselves and clients. Lionbridge’s on-demand, remote interpretation services enable effective and accurate communication with clients. This service empowers clients to be heard and spoken to in their own language, which in turn facilitates a deeper understanding of the care your pet needs.
