Dr. Vazquez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She earned a bachelor's degree in animal science from University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus before attending and graduating from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

After veterinary school, she moved to Las Vegas, where she practiced veterinary medicine for 5 years. Then she moved to Miami, where she has practiced for 5 years.

Dr. Vazquez has special interest in soft tissue surgery. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets. Dr. Vazquez and her wife, Erileen, have a beautiful son, Liam; two cats, Bruneaux and Jax; and a dog, Gigi.
