Dr. D'Ancicco, a Connecticut native, has always loved animals of all kinds. Growing up, she spent much of her time caring for a wide assortment of family pets, which helped shape her passion for veterinary medicine. She also played competitive ice hockey and violin—interests she continued to pursue during her time at Connecticut College, where she earned a degree in behavioral neuroscience and music performance. She later went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M.
Her clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, wound management, behavior, and preventive care. Dr. D'Ancicco now lives in New London County with her two pets—Norman, a tiny but fearless Yorkshire terrier, and Churchill, a big, silly tuxedo cat. She's thrilled to be joining the team at VCA Plainfield Animal Hospital and looks forward to supporting the health and happiness of pets in the local community.
