At VCA Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital, we've helped pets live long, healthy and happy lives since 1975. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.
Located in East Harwich, our veterinarians, technicians and support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that our patients get the best preventive and healing care.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
Caring for pets means meeting a wide range of needs beyond health care. Fortunately, there’s a whole community of organizations and businesses eager to help.
Here’s where to meet the local groups that we recommend to our pet-loving families.

The Fund is named after Sampson, a very friendly, once homeless yellow cat. Sampson's adoptive-owners made a modest donation to their veterinarian requesting that he use it to aid some less fortunate animal. The gift, in turn, generated the concept of a community supported fund to help other companion animals and strays receive critical veterinary care.Visit Sampson Fund
