Dr. Walden was born and raised in Greer, South Carolina, and grew up around a variety of different animals. At a young age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and set out on that path. She attended Winthrop University and received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, while working part time at a local small animal general practice. After, she was accepted into Long Island University and became a member of the inaugural class of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Throughout her time there, she worked as an assistant for a TNR group, and a VEG, as well as volunteering at various clinics. She is excited to join the VCA RIVER family and complete a rotating emergency and specialty internship and learn as much as she can throughout the process.
