Veterinary Specialist VMD, DACVIM
I was born in Wilmington, Delaware, but spent most of my life in Pennsylvania. Knowing at a young age I wanted to be a veterinarian, I set out to do just that. I attended Delaware Valley University for my animal science focused undergraduate work and then went to veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in the class of 2000. I then did a rotating internship followed by an internal medicine internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Next, I made my journey south to complete my residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I stayed at University of Tennessee for 18 years doing a combination of internal medicine, general medicine, teaching, and even working for 3 years part time at RIVER! I made the move to Chattanooga at the start of the pandemic and worked at Veterinary Care and Specialty Group doing emergency and internal medicine. I am excited to join the VCA RIVER family and bring internal medicine services to another location in Chattanooga. I value communication, the intensity of the cases and the dedication of their families. I especially love geriatric medicine and endocrine diseases. In my spare time, you can find me loving on all of the animals on my mini-farm, taking my Bedlington boys on adventures around town, or out at a local restaurant.
