Lorenzo Ray Olano, MRCVS (he/they) is a veterinarian at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. He earned his undergraduate degree in animal science from the University of California, Davis in 2020 before completing his veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2026. Before veterinary school, Dr. Olano worked as a veterinary technician supervisor at a hospital in the Sacramento area, where he gained valuable experience in patient care, client communication, and team leadership.
Born in Quezon City, Philippines, Dr. Olano moved to the United States with his family at a young age. He has professional interests in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery, and enjoys the collaborative nature of specialty veterinary medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Olano enjoys building vivariums, caring for reptiles and amphibians, and exploring technology through hands-on electronics and coding projects. He shares his home with Fubby, his beloved Yorkie mix; Reginald, a Siamese cat he adopted while attending veterinary school in the United Kingdom; and his tortoises, Mando and Pleakley, who keep life entertaining with their larger-than-life personalities.
