Rebecca Hernandez, BSc, BVetMed (she/her/ella), is a dedicated veterinarian at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. She earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley in 2018 and completed her veterinary training at the Royal Veterinary College in 2023.
Originally from Oxnard, CA, Dr. Hernandez has professional interests in surgery and critical care. Before veterinary school, she volunteered at the Oakland Zoo and local shelters and worked as a veterinary assistant at a VCA hospital in the Bay Area. She also spent a year as a wildlife veterinary assistant in Southern California. Most recently, she worked as a mixed animal veterinarian in the Central Valley.
Outside of work, Dr. Hernandez enjoys hiking, running, swimming, playing soccer, and gardening.
