Each packet provides an unflavored powder containing 450 billion bacteria. This medication may cause bloating during the first few days after starting Visbiome™. This generally diminishes within 3-4 days, if bloating persists contact your veterinarian as the dose may need to be adjusted.

Visbiome™ powder should be stored in the refrigerator, if stored appropriately then the product is guaranteed through “Best if used by” date. Visbiome™ can be stored at room temperature for up to a week without adversely affecting potency.Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication or supplements you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. There are no known adverse drug interactions associated with consumption of Visbiome™. Certain strains of bacterium contained in Visbiome™ may be inactivated by some types of antibiotics. Preferably, do not give Visbiome™ within 4 hours after administering antibiotics.Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
