I was recently asked the question, why did I become a veterinarian? The answer was simple.  As a young kid, I had many kinds of pets in my house.  I loved my pets; my parents taught me that I also had to be responsible for their care. Feeding, cleaning, researching what kinds of food they should eat and giving them medicine was something that I really enjoyed.  As I got into high school, I really enjoyed biology and the sciences.  Veterinary medicine was the right choice for me.  Learn the science of helping animals and get to help people at the same time. It was a win-win.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and traveling. I love watching basketball (Miami Heat) and football (Seattle Seahawks). I spearheaded the hospital's recycling program and enjoy educating my team on ways we as co-worker's can lower our environmental footprint.
