VCA Animal Hospitals Are Now Offering Live Video Consults

Your Telehealth Options

Our goal is to provide clients with access to trusted virtual care options while ensuring social distancing is respected.  
As we look for new and creative ways to connect with our clients and patients during these uncertain times, we encourage you to use the following telehealth tools that help deliver remote care.

VCA Messenger (select hospitals)
- Text message with your hospital like you message friends and family!
- Send general questions, receive pre-visit care instructions, and activate curbside check-in procedures. 

Live Chat (CareClub Members)
- Through the myVCA app, CareClub clients have 24/7 access to free live chat with an on-call veterinarian.
- Receive trusted advice and medical instructions in minutes.
- All live chats synch with your client record on a daily basis.

Live Video Consults (NEW!)
- Offers clients the opportunity to have a virtual office exam using telemedicine tools.
- Connect with your trusted caregivers from the safety and comfort of home.
- Interact with your doctor during your pet’s visit – while staying in your vehicle outside.
- Fulfill urgent prescriptions with curbside pickup and routine refills with FREE home delivery.
- Video consults are only available to existing VCA clients for patients who have had a physical exam at a VCA hospital within the prior 12 months. 

How do Live Video Consults work?
1. Download the Microsoft Teams app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Call your hospital to request and pay for a Live Video Consult.
3. Receive an email confirmation with a link to your appointment.
4. At your appointment time, click the link to join the meeting.   
5. Adjust video and audio settings to your preferences.
6. When the visit ends, click on the disconnect button to end your call.
