VCA's Healthy Start Program

As part of your adoption, VCA Animal Hospitals offer a complimentary healthy start visit that offers comprehensive medical exam with minimal risk and peace of mind for you and your new pet.

More About VCA’s Healthy Start Program

The adopter has 14-days after adoption to go in to any VCA Hospital and we will treat any minor illness up to a specific amount to help the new family member get off to a good start.

If your adopted pet is diagnosed with any minor illness within the first 14-days, we will treat the pet until the pet is well and up to a specific dollar amount, as long as the adopter continues to bring in the pet for scheduled rechecks.

Minor illness include but not limited to: Upper Respiratory infections (URI), Kennel Cough, Internal Parasites, diarrhea of infectious origins, ear and eye infections, suture removal, vomiting of infections origin, common skin disorders and Urinary tract infections.

Not included in the program is treatment for congenital and inherited conditions, parvo, feline leukemia, FIV, Distemper or ringworm.

The healthy start program is offered at VCA’s General Practice hospitals and not valid for Emergency or specialty veterinary services.

Valid at any VCA hospital across the nation.
