Dr. Phelan grew up in Flourtown, Montgomery County, PA, in a family with a strong medical background. He completed his bachelor's degree from The University of Colorado. As a second career, he entered the veterinary field as a technician while completing his science requirements at Temple University in Philadelphia. He attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical training at Auburn University. He's been working with VCA since 2010, including the Neshaminy and East Norriton locations, and eventually joined Wellington in 2019. He is a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, and enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his chocolate Lab, Bert, that he adopted in Alabama.
