Dr. Leavey grew up in Hawaii. She received her DVM degree from Tufts University Cummings school of Veterinary medicine in 2009. Dr. Leavey joined VCA Westboro as an associate veterinarian in 2015. In 2019, she received her certification in acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and uses acupuncture primarily to provide comfort for geriatric dogs and cats or chronic injuries. One of the things she loves about being a veterinarian is the ongoing relationship she builds with pets and their families.
Dr. Leavey shares her home with her family and her two dogs, Asher and Quill, two cats, Pickett and Hawkins, and a flock of chickens. Outside of work she enjoys, hiking, kayaking, gardening and traveling.
