Amanda has been with VCA Adobe Animals Hospital since 2016. She completed her certification as a Professional Pet Stylist from American Grooming Academy in 2014. Amanda knew she wanted a career in working with animals after rescuing two dogs that were in need of some good TLC with their skin conditions and lack of grooming. The joy on those dogs' faces as they become comfortable and playful again was everything she needed to start her grooming career. Amanda specializes in pets with special needs. She takes the time to regain trust of those pets who may have had traumatic experiences or if they just don't like the grooming process. She also loves to give extra support and patience for her geriatric clients. In her time outside of work, Amanda enjoys exploring all the hiking trails around her home in Ramona with her fiancé and two dogs, Lacey and Jeff. They also enjoy adventures in and out of town for fishing, camping, desert season and river trips.
