Dr. Hiroko Hata joined VCA All About Pets Animal Hospital in October 2012. She had previously worked at VCA San Martin Animal Hospital for over a year. She was born and raised in Japan and moved to southern California when she was 10. She completed an intensive rotating internship in Tucson, AZ, where she discovered her love for internal medicine, neurology...and dachshunds!

When not in the clinic, she can be found spoiling her rescue dogs Bunny (not a dachshund) and Simon (still not a dachshund) on hiking trails and beaches, discovering new food in the Bay Area, and spending time with family and friends.
