Dr. Amy Sheil is originally from Florida but ended up in Alabama where she attended vet school at Auburn University. After vet school, she spent a year working ER in North Alabama, then began the path to residency. She completed a rotating and surgical internship at VCA ARECA, then moved to Illinois to complete another surgical internship at Veterinary Specialty Center in Buffalo Grove. She is completely committed to her pursuit of becoming a surgeon, but in her free time she does have other hobbies such as hiking with her dogs, yoga and working out, traveling, painting and drawing. She has 2 beautiful huskies that love to travel with her too!
