Dr. Alexis McLaine is thrilled to be returning to the VCA ARECA team! After completing a 1-year small animal rotating internship at VCA ARECA, followed by a 3-year emergency and critical care residency at the Ohio State University, Dr. McLaine is excited to re-join the team where she started her veterinary career. She is looking forward to continuing to grow the well-established emergency & critical care service at VCA ARECA and help the hospital continue to provide excellent care to pets and their owners in the Phoenix area. Prior to her internship, she graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained a dual Master of Public Health degree, with an emphasis in veterinary public health. Dr. McLaine's professional interests include trauma, transfusion medicine and infectious disease.

Outside of work, Dr. McLaine enjoys spending time with her husband (just married!) and pets (Butterfinger, Lily and Maisie), attending sporting events, as well as finding new restaurants/breweries to explore.
