Dr. Brian Sessink, graduated from Michigan State University, receiving a bachelor of science in 1994 and his DVM status in 1996. He completed a Small Animal Medicine, Surgery, and Critical Care Internship at Mesa Veterinary Hospital in 1997. Dr. Sessink has a strong affinity for the excitement and diversity of emergency medicine and has practiced emergency medicine at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona since its opening in June of 2004.
Dr. Sessink's professional vet interests include emergency and soft tissue surgery and intensive care monitoring for the critically ill. He has become acquainted with and served the referring vet community in the Phoenix area for over twenty-two years. In his spare time, Dr. Sessink enjoys spending time with his family, frequenting his sons' soccer and swimming events. Dr. Sessink and family also love to spend time with their adopted stray dog, who's oldest son named Banger, a once sick, but now healthy mixed breed who loves to chews things she shouldn't and will get stinky if not bathed frequently!
