Dr. Mutascio was born on the East Coast but grew up in Arizona. She attended Arizona State University, where she earned degrees in Biology and Psychology, before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Washington State University in 2013. While at WSU, she developed a love for surgery and went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson in 2014, a specialty surgical internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center in 2015, and a small animal surgical residency at Purdue University in 2018. Dr. Mutascio obtained board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Small Animal) in 2019. Her clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, fracture repair, and minimally invasive surgery. She enjoys teaching and is passionate about using her training and knowledge to help pets and their families. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring, training in Brazilian jiu jitsu, and spending time with her husband, their two cats, and their dog.
