Credentialed Veterinary Technician
April Rowe is our Technician Training and Development Coordinator. Her responsibilities include overseeing the development of technician training programs, managing the externship program, developing new courses for technicians, and organizing continuing education events for technicians. Her mission is to ensure that the veterinary technicians who work with her are well trained and prepared for whatever comes their way. After graduating from Murray State University with her Bachelor's in Animal Health Technology, April obtained her CVT. She received her Master of Science degree in Animal Nutrition from Murray State University in 2007. In 2010, April joined VCA in South Carolina working in a surgery center rotating through surgery, neurology and ophthalmology. She then transferred to VCA Aurora in 2016. In addition to her role at VCA, she is also an instructor in RECOVER CPR. April enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark and boxer mix, Louis.
