LeAnna grew up in Shasta County and graduated locally. After high school she started her vet med path at VCA Gateway. After a few years there and another hospital, she made her home at Haven Humane Veterinary Clinic in 2012 where along the way she earned her RVT license and became the hospital manager for several years. Helping shelter animals, assisting the public with accessible pet health care and education, community outreach, and cultivating a passion for high-volume, high-quality spays and neuters her 10 years there. 

LeAnna joined the VCA Care team in February of 2022 and filled our technician manager position. She values team building, patient care, and client education. Outside of the hospital life she enjoys trips to the coastal Redwood area and exploring the outdoors with her boyfriend and three senior dogs; a Chihuahua and two pug/Boston terrier crosses. She collects rare and unusual cacti and tropical houseplants, enjoys painting, and if she's not out on a walk she enjoys being a homebody in her self-made jungle. Her favorite patients are senior pets, and she passionately advocates for spay and neuter education along with adopting shelter pets.
