After living in Virginia for 22 years, Summer decided she needed a change in scenery and moved to Colorado in July of 2021. In May 2021, she graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences with a double emphasis in companion and laboratory animals and equine science. She is currently attending Penn Foster to complete her veterinary technician degree, and eventually wants to work with wildlife. Her interests include small and large animal medicine, equine therapy, and animal behavior. 

At home in her free time, she likes to knit/crochet projects for family and friends. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and playing video games.

She has one cat, Tubbs, who she adopted in October. He loves to play with string toys and jingly bells, loves long naps, and has extra toes!
