Medical Director

Suzanne R Steeley, DVM, joined the practice in November 2005 and was promoted to Medical Director in April 2015. After growing up in northern Lancaster County, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Small Animal Science at Delaware Valley College. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. Previously, Dr. Steeley managed a small animal practice in Chester County. She enjoys feline medicine, endocrinology, and general medicine and surgery.

Dr. Steeley currently resides in the Etters area with her husband, along with their boxer mix and six cats. In her free time, she enjoys boating on the Chesapeake Bay, biking, hiking, reading and spending time in her garden.

"As a veterinarian, my job is challenging, rewarding and never, ever boring," says Dr. Steeley. "People still surprise me and I'm learning every day. While I enjoy feline medicine and have 6 cats of my own, my most rewarding patients have been my dogs. My golden retriever came to me when she was 3 weeks old with both of her back legs broken. Even after surgery she was always happy and enthusiastic with that big golden smile. My pit bull/lab mix was diagnosed with bone cancer at 10 years of age. With a six month (at most) life expectancy, we amputated her leg and she lived another almost 5 years. It makes even the roughest days worthwhile."
