Amanda Schnapp

Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Amanda Schnapp is a small animal veterinarian dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care while building lasting relationships with pets and their families. A Long Island native, she was born and raised in Dix Hills, where her lifelong connection with animals inspired her pursuit of veterinary medicine.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2022 before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Lewyt College of Veterinary Medicine at Long Island University in 2026.

Dr. Schnapp has a special interest in emergency medicine and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, with a particular passion for integrating alternative complementary therapies into comprehensive patient care. She is currently pursuing certification in small animal acupuncture (CVA) through Chi University to further expand her skills in integrative veterinary medicine.

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys practicing Pilates, discovering new restaurants with friends, and spending time with her family and her dog, Titan. She is committed to lifelong learning and providing thoughtful, high-quality care to every patient she serves.
