Devon Otero
Veterinarian DVM, MPH
Dr. Devon K. Otero is a proud "triple Gator," having first graduated from the University of Florida in 2018 with a B.S. in Zoology and a Disability Studies minor, and again in 2022 as one of only two concurrent Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health degree candidates - he received each of these diplomas with the highest honors. Dr. Otero is Fear Free Certified and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Public Health Association, American Heartworm Society, and American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology.

Although he grew up in Tampa, Dr. Otero was born in the Bronx, NY and remains happy to claim his technical New Yorker heritage. Dr. Otero is also proud of his intersectional background, which reinforces his understanding of enabling and restrictive factors in human and animal medicine. Recognizing that human and animal health are inextricably linked, his professional interests include high-quality primary and preventive medicine, community health practice, intersectional health inequities, and justice-centered advocacy.

Dr. Otero is excited to serve you and your loved ones as a culturally competent and patient-centered clinician. While not in the hospital, however, Dr. Otero may be found longboarding to a nearby tennis court, volunteering at the library, or lounging in front of Netflix with his beloved foster-fail Oliver.
