Dr. Christiansen joined VCA Dakota Ridge as medical director in January 2021. She graduated from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 before relocating to Colorado. She completed a clinical internship in 2005 and has practiced in the Denver metro area since that time. She earned her certification in Acupuncture in 2020. Dr. Christiansen's areas of emphasis are preventative and internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, weight and pain management, including integrative therapies such as acupuncture, laser, and massage.

Leah began her career with VCA in 2009 and has worked for hospitals in California, Kansas and now Colorado. She joined the team at VCA Dakota Ridge as hospital manager in 2017 and works hard to support our doctors and associates. Leah loves all that Colorado has to offer and in her time away from the hospital she enjoys reading, hiking with her dog Stella, or catching a concert at Red Rocks.
