Katie is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, earning a B.A. in Elementary Education in 2011. After working in the education field, she decided to switch careers and pursue what she truly loves. She attended the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, graduating in December 2013. Katie moved to Colorado and joined VCA Dakota Ridge in February 2014, and was named technician supervisor in 2021. She lives with her husband, Caleb, their dog, Roxy, and their bearded dragon, Ivan.
