Dr. Jensen has loved animals from a very young age. Her mother used to walk to the racetrack in the morning to watch the horses gallop. At the age of seven, she told her mother she was going to grow up to be a racetrack jockey. Her mother said that she was almost six feet tall, and her father was over six feet tall, so she should think about another career with animals, like a trainer or a veterinarian. So she became a veterinarian.
In her time away from the hospital, Dr. Jensen likes to read, cross stitch, and go to the beach. She currently has two cats: Felix (named after the cartoon Felix the Cat) and Sasha.
