Dr. Kendel Mitchell is a Kentucky native and was raised in Dawson Springs. He earned a bachelor's degree in pre-veterinary medicine at his family's alma mater, Murray State University. He ventured south and out of state to earn his doctorate at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2022, he moved to Louisville with his husband, Daniel, to be closer to their families and begin their careers. His professional interests include feline medicine, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, and end-of-life care. In his spare time, he enjoys playing video games, watering his plants, reading tarot cards, working on home projects, and enjoying good food with friends. Short-term goals of his include achieving a board-certified specialization in feline medicine and getting into Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
