Dr. Melberg started his career working as a veterinary assistant at a specialty practice on the outskirts of Madison, Wisconsin. He went on to receive both his BS and DVM from the University of Wisconsin. Following graduation from veterinary school, he completed a rotating speciality and emergency internship in Denver at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. During the internship he developed a strong interest in urgent care and internal medicine. His professional interests within general practice focus on dentistry and management of chronic disease. He considers himself a strong advocate for the compassionate treatment and care of all animals. Outside of the office Dr. Melberg can typically be found hiking, road biking, skiing, or searching for another vinyl record to add to his collection!
