Dr. Jonnathan Escobar, DVM, is originally from South Carolina, where he also attended undergraduate schooling at Clemson University for his Bachelor's in Animal Sciences with a minor in Biology and Spanish. He continued his education at Virginia-Tech for his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine  He is a first generation college student as both parents are immigrants and originate from Colombia, South America. This gave Dr. Escobar much travel experience, and perspective to other cultures around the world. Being Hispanic and fluent in Spanish, are both assets that he hopes to utilize not only within the clinical scenario, but also to branch out and be one with the community. Dr. Escobar has been very active in all the communities he has been a part of, and enjoys the leadership, mentorship, and community service aspect that goes along with practicing medicine. He was drawn to Houston for it's diverse population, as well as being able to enjoy the year long outdoor activities like playing and watching sports, fishing, hiking, traveling, attending concerts and spending time with his 3 year old German-Shorthaired Pointer, Jax. Medically, he is interested in dermatology and cardiology. He is extremely excited to lay down roots and start impacting lives in the Greater Houston area.
