Dr. Taryn Williamson is originally from Tennessee, where she attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, to obtain her Bachelor's in Animal Science. She then continued her education and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical year at Texas A&M University. She has recently relocated to the Greater Houston area and is excited to contribute to the exceptional care provided at VCA Jones Road.
Dr. Williamson's professional interests include surgery, reproduction, cardiology, and shelter medicine. With a lifelong passion for animals and a dedication to their well-being, she wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
In her free time, Dr. Williamson enjoys the company of her three dogs: a Golden Retriever named Layla, a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Luna, and a Mixed-breed dog from the Caribbean named Valentine. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
