Whether your pet is coming for a routine wellness exam or an unexpected emergency, our passionate team is dedicated to delivering exceptional medical treatment with compassion and care.
Our veterinarians and support staff treat every pet like their own. You’re not just choosing a veterinarian; you’re joining a community that cares. At VCA Knowles Snapper Creek, your pet’s health and happiness are our top priorities, and we’re here for you every step of the way.
VCA Knowles Snapper Creek Animal Hospital has been a trusted part of the Miami community since the 1974, building on the legacy of the original Knowles Animal Hospital, which began serving South Florida families in 1923. As the second location of Miami’s first family-owned, 24-hour animal hospital, we’ve proudly continued the tradition of providing exceptional care for furry family members—every hour, every day. While our story is rooted in history, our passion is driven by the present. At Snapper Creek, every team member shares a deep love for animals and a commitment to treating every patient like family.
With state-of-the-art facilities, advanced diagnostic tools, and a full-service medical team, we’re equipped to handle everything from preventative care to complex surgeries. But what really sets us apart is the way we care—with empathy, respect, and genuine devotion to each furry friend who walks through our doors.
We proudly serve pet families across Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Kendall, Snapper Creek, Westchester, Homestead, Hammocks, and West Kendall. No matter where you’re coming from, you can count on us to treat your pets as if they were our own.
At VCA Knowles Snapper Creek, this isn’t just veterinary medicine, it’s a calling. And we’re honored to be part of your pet’s health journey.
We harness the scale and strength of our global network while acknowledging each individual's contribution. We work locally to improve the lives of all who interact with our brand.

SoFl Retired K9 Fund
We help any dog now retired that has worked as a law enforcement K-9 in Miami-Dade County.
100% of your donation goes to the medical assistance of retired Miami-Dade County law enforcement K-9s. Retired K-9s typically continue to live in the home of their law enforcement partner. After retirement, there are typically no financial provisions for their healthcare. Many, as they age, acquire diseases, frequently related to their past service. Oftentimes, the human partner is unable to manage the financial responsibilities of extensive medical care.
ASPCA Poison Control Center Hotline
The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center is staffed 24 hours with veterinary health professionals who have been specially trained in veterinary toxicology. If you think that your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, call the ASPCA 24 hour emergency Animal Poison Control Center hotline at (888) 426-4435.
