Megan has been a dedicated member of the VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital team for over eight years, bringing nearly three decades of experience in the veterinary field to her leadership role. Her career spans emergency, specialty, general practice, and veterinary technology, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations and patient care.
Prior to joining Lakewood, Megan served for seven years as the Systems and Special Projects Administrator and Chief Information Officer at Animal Specialty & Emergency Center (ASEC) in West Los Angeles, a large specialty hospital employing more than 120 staff members, including 33 full-time veterinarians and interns. In this role, she oversaw all electronic operations and supported the complex infrastructure required to deliver advanced specialty and emergency care.
Megan's background also includes work as an implementation manager for a veterinary software company, as well as hands-on clinical experience as a veterinary technician at emergency and general practices in Las Vegas. This unique blend of clinical, operational, and technical expertise allows her to support both the medical team and hospital systems with insight and efficiency.
She recently earned her Master's degree in Human Resources, further strengthening her commitment to building a supportive workplace culture and high-performing team. Megan brings 27 years of veterinary experience to the Lakewood community and is passionate about ensuring exceptional care for patients and outstanding service for clients.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys gardening, watching K-dramas, and spending time with her golden retriever, Valen, and her seven beloved silkie chickens.
