Hospital Manager
Mindy has worked as a Veterinary Hospital Practice Manager since 1992, and joined VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital in 2003. In addition to working as the Hospital Manager, she is also the clinic's Nutritional Consultant and Behavior Counselor. After graduating from Southwestern College of Business as a Medical Assistant, she decided to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Mindy's special interests include oncology, cardiology, geriatrics, holistic and alternative medicine, nutrition, and behavior. She also has a passion for senior rescue felines.
In her free time Mindy enjoys participating in car shows and cruise-in events with the family antique cars and street rods (her red '59 Chevy Bel Air is her inherited pride and joy!), target shooting, and reading. Mindy is an advocate for pet cancer awareness and is a member of an on-line Pet Cancer Support group, as well as a board member of The Magic Bullet Fund, a non-profit pet cancer organization which assists in funding for veterinary cancer bills.
Mindy shares her life with her husband, John, and their teenage shelter rescue kitty, Dorian.
