Ashley is the clinic’s hospital manager, but there are also occasions that she jumps in to work as one of the technicians. Ashley grew up in northern Indiana, and she has worked in the veterinary industry since the young age of 16 when she had started as a kennel assistant at a small animal general practice. She completed an internship at the same practice, and her passion for working with animals and people continued to grow, so she applied to Purdue University’s veterinary technology program. After graduating in 2006 with her bachelor’s, she decided to stay in central Indiana and further explore her veterinary technology certification. Over the years, she has worked in specialty, emergency, and general practice as an RVT. She was also the program director and instructor for one of the local veterinary technology schools for several years. Her family includes her husband of ten years, Ryan, two older stepsons, six-year old son, Avery, two cats (Pete and Zelda) and two dogs (Samson and Scottie); they all keep her quite busy and on her toes! Ashley continues to strive for improvement in everything she does and only wants to put a smile on your face - including your pet’s. Educating pet owners is a top priority!
“Doing something I love after all these years is a true blessing. Everyday, I look forward to seeing and working with the amazing team at VCA Lantern Road, as we all share the same goals. We support each other as we continue to advance in veterinary medicine and make a difference in the lives of our patients and our clients.” - Ashley
