Lexi Beckley
Medical Director

Dr. Beckley is originally from Michigan. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Biology/Biochemistry from Eastern Michigan University before earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University. After graduation, she practiced general medicine in Seattle, Washington and Metro Detroit, Michigan before settling in here in Portland. Dr. Beckley is a strong proponent of preventative medicine education, and believes that maintaining the health of our pets leads to a shared life that is much happier together within our homes and our community. Her philosophy is that our companions are an important part of our lives, and being able to discuss their health and your concerns should be a part of every visit. She wants to allow for easy conversation for you to ask questions and to help make sure you receive the answers you deserve. She has special professional interests in geriatric medicine, which includes pain management and dentistry, as well as ophthalmology.

Dr. Beckley lives in Portland with her husband, an absolutely hilarious miniature Dachshund rescued off the streets of Detroit, named Lincoln, and a recently rescued Dachshund named Ivy. When she is not in the clinic you can find her relaxing by hiking, cycling, gardening or watching a baseball game. You may also see her out keeping her high-spirited Dachshunds slim and trim on an urban hike, or sipping on a delicious cup of coffee and just breathing in the wonders of life.
