Trisha Carter was born and raised in Long Beach, California. From a young age, she exhibited a strong interest in science and animals, which would later shape her academic and professional journey. Trisha graduated as the Valedictorian from Long Beach City College in 2009, earning an Associate's Degree in Science. She then continued her studies at California State University, Long Beach, where she completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry in 2012.
Her passion for animals led her into the veterinary field in 2013, when she began working at a private practice that cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic species. In 2016, Trisha joined VCA as a Client Service Representative. She quickly proved herself as a dedicated and compassionate professional, and in October 2021, she took on the role of Hospital Manager at VCA Los Altos.
Outside of her professional life, Trisha is an avid traveler and nature enthusiast. She enjoys activities such as hiking, visiting museums, exploring zoos—particularly the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park—and spending time at aquariums. Her love for the outdoors extends to road trips and visiting national parks, with a goal of eventually traveling to all 50 states (she's already visited 25!). When she's at home, Trisha loves cooking, reading, and unwinding with true crime shows.
Trisha is the proud pet owner of three dogs—Norman, Jack, and Rosie—and is dedicated to both their well-being and her professional growth. She is currently working towards obtaining her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) designation, which will further enhance her ability to lead and manage within the veterinary industry.
