Kimberly is a veterinary assistant at VCA North Rockville Animal Hospital in Rockville, Maryland, where she supports the veterinary team in providing thoughtful, compassionate care for pets and the families who love them. She believes that when veterinary teams and clients work together as partners, pets receive the best possible care and every visit becomes a more positive experience.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida International University in 2022. While completing her degree, she began working as a veterinary assistant at a Fear Free private practice, where she gained valuable hands-on experience helping pets feel safer and more comfortable during veterinary visits.

Kimberly joined the VCA family in 2022 and later transferred from South Florida to Maryland, continuing her journey in veterinary medicine with the same organization. She was also selected as the recipient of the Southeast Career Investment Sponsorship awarded by VCA, which supports her pursuit of becoming a credentialed veterinary technician through the Penn Foster College Veterinary Technician Program.
Her professional interests include dermatology, an area she became passionate about while working with a board-certified veterinary dermatologist. Kimberly finds it especially rewarding to help pets experiencing skin conditions and to watch their comfort and quality of life improve as treatment progresses.
“My goal is to advocate for every patient while helping clients feel confident and supported. When pets feel safer, and families understand their care plan, it makes a meaningful difference for everyone involved.”
Kimberly enjoys connecting with the local wildlife community through the Montgomery County Bird Club. Her appreciation for animals and environmental conservation continues to influence the thoughtful and compassionate approach she brings to veterinary medicine.
