Doctors: Our doctors will work with you to provide your pet with individual, comprehensive and referral specialty care on a case-by-case basis. They are experienced, knowledgeable, skilled and compassionate. Their keen interest in animal health motivates them to pursue their professional development through continuing education, teambuilding and leadership.
Registered Technicians and Assistants: Our technical staff is trained to perform radiographs, dental prophylaxis, laboratory diagnositics, surgical nursing and critical care, as well as many other technical skills. They work hand in hand with our veterinarians to make certain that every phase of your pet's care is attended with compassion and thoroughness.
Receptionists: Our receptionists are trained to provide prompt, friendly service from your first phone call, to the beginning and end of your visit. Our medical staff relies on the receptionists' communication and organizational abilities to ensure that your needs and the needs of your pet are fulfilled.
Hospital Attendants: Our hospital attendants work with our entire staff to ensure your pet receives the highest quality of care while at our hospital. They are primarily responsible for the care of pets boarding with us. You can depend on our attendants to handle your pet with affection and respect.

Dr. Stephanie Chen was born in State College, Pennsylvania but grew up and finished most of her education in Taiwan. She earned the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from National Taiwan University in 2009. Within two years, she completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at National Taiwan University Veterinary Hospital and earned the Master degree with a thesis topic on canine post spinal surgical pain management.
After returning to the U.S., Dr. Chen achieved the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification and she started practicing in the States since then. Prior to completing the ECFVG certification, she was trained at the ECFVG clinical training program in Louisiana State University. Dr. Chen has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association since 2013. She worked at several hospitals in the greater Seattle area prior joining VCA in June 2019. Her professional interests include small animal soft surgery, emergency and neurology.
Dr. Chen is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. She has an 8-year-old calico kitty and a Maltese. Outside the veterinary world, she enjoys traveling, exploring restaurants/coffee shops, volleyball, piano and wine tasting.
