BirchBark Foundation
BirchBark Foundation is the first of its kind in Central Coast region. While there are wonderful animal aid groups in both Monterey and Santa Cruz, there are no other organizations that are singularly dedicated to saving the lives of pets that are already in loving homes, but whose families cannot pay for all or part of the care they need to survive. Using established criteria, BirchBark provides financial grants to animal owners who are unable to partially or fully cover the cost of their pet’s emergency or critical care. BirchBark's financial aid program is currently limited to residents of Monterey and Santa Cruz counties in California. Our goal is to keep pets with their families—it’s the least we can do for the unconditional love and companionship they give so freely.
