Dr. Martinez grew up in New Mexico, and received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico. She attended Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2000. Dr. Martinez then practiced for a year in North Carolina, before settling in Denver, Colorado where she practiced for nine years.
