Valerie has been a dedicated member of the VCA SylvaniaVET team since 2002. She began her career as a veterinary technician after earning her degree in veterinary technology from Stautzenberger College and passing the VTNE that same year. Upon joining VCA Sylvania, Valerie became a valued part of the technician team, where she continued to grow professionally and deepen her passion for the field.
She is especially driven by her love for nursing care, with a focus on neonate and geriatric patients, pain management, and building lasting relationships with long-time clients. Her compassion and dedication have made her an essential part of the team for over two decades.
In late 2021, Valerie advanced into a leadership role as veterinary assistant manager, where she continues to mentor and support her colleagues.
Outside of work, Valerie is a proud mother of two and grandmother of four. Her constant companion is her miniature schnauzer, Yara, who has been her "little bestie" since she joined the family nearly two years ago.
