Dr. Veneklase is the youngest of 3 children and grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan where his parents still reside. He completed undergraduate studies in cell biology and genetics at Michigan State University and went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2006 also at MSU. Dr. Veneklase has practiced at VCA Texas Corners Animal Hospital since graduating and has special interests in ophthalmology, endocrinology and dermatology. He enjoys participating in and watching sports, spending time with his wife (Dr. Angela Kautzer), their cat Lily and their dog Mia.
