Dr. Kayla Neiderfer is originally from Woodbury, NY. She received her Bachelor of Science degrees in pre-veterinary medicine and animal biosciences and agriculture and natural resources from the University of Delaware. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri. After veterinary school, Dr. Neiderfer completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Aurora Animal Hospital in the Chicagoland area. Dr. Neiderfer completed her residency in medical oncology at Oregon State University in 2025.
Following residency, Dr. Neiderfer has decided to move coast-to-coast and return closer to home. She is looking forward to growing relationships with regional primary care veterinarians to provide collaborative patient care. Dr. Neiderfer enjoys many aspects of Oncology, particularly client support/communication, cancer biology, and working with families to maintain a strong human-animal bond and high quality of life in the face of a difficult diagnosis.
Outside of work, Dr. Neiderfer enjoys spending time with her partner, Colin, Labrador retriever, Weezer, and two cats, Tonka Tough Steel and Spicy Salami. She enjoys the outdoors, baking, cooking and reading.
