Our Story

In our AAHA-accredited facility at VCA Victoria Animal Hospital, we've helped pets live long, healthy and happy lives since 1995. We work hard to deliver the best medical care for your pets, as well as the best experience for you, the pet owner.

Our veterinarians, technicians and other pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that all our patients get the best in prevention and healing care.

Welcome! Everyone on our staff believes that the better we get to know your pets, the better we can provide the best possible health care for them. Located at 2706 Sam Houston Drive, at the intersection of Mockingbird Drive (next door to the Post Office), VCA Victoria Animal Hospital is a friendly, comfortable, state-of-the-art, medically full service AAHA accredited veterinary hospital. Our caring and skilled veterinarians provide well pet and sick pet services, including emergency care for puppies, kittens, adult dogs, cats, and senior pets. Our services include physical exams, vaccines, including Preventative Care vaccines, spay, neuter, and complete pet dental care, surgeries, hospitalization, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, and laboratory testing. We carry Hill's Science & Prescription Diets, Royal Canin therapeutic pet food, and a variety of treats. In addition to the best medical care, we also offer an outstanding facility for boarding your pets. We offer daily and extended stays in a climate controlled environment. We have one of the best groomers in town and promise to have your pet looking great after a day in our pet spa.

Our doctors, Dr. Aaron Wilfert, Dr. Stephanie Davis, Dr. Jennifer Pahmiyer, Dr. Randall Froehlich, and Dr. Arthur Schomburg, are knowledgeable and skilled veterinarians. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.

In real time, veterinary providers can enlist an expert Lionbridge interpreter to facilitate a clear exchange of information between themselves and clients. Lionbridge’s on-demand, remote interpretation services enable effective and accurate communication with clients. This service empowers clients to be heard and spoken to in their own language, which in turn facilitates a deeper understanding of the care your pet needs.
