Dr. Cait Sackman is a New Yorker, born and raised on Long Island. She attended Manhattan College in the Bronx where she volunteered at the Bronx Zoo and conducted research on the effects of pesticides on amphibian growth and development. She graduated from Manhattan with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry in 2019. Post-graduation, she worked as a veterinary assistant/technician in Long Beach, NY, for two years while applying to veterinary school. She then attended Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2025.
She loves all things rescue or pitbull-related. When she's not working at the hospital, she enjoys doing yoga, going for hikes with her dog, and spending time outdoors.
