Dr. Gillum grew up in Eastern Washington and graduate from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After several years of small animal general practice, she returned to WSU in 2014 to complete a year-long specialty internship in oncology. Some of Dr. Gillum's professional interests include: oncology, behavior, geriatric medicine, preventative medicine, and chronic pain management. She is a member of the board of directors for the international non-profit organization, World Vets, and volunteered as a trail veterinarian for the Iditarod in 2014.

In her free time, Dr. Gillum can be found tending her orchids, camping at the beach, and spoiling her dogs, Gemma and Juniper, and her cat, Sinclair.
